For the price I paid, the value was really good. The room wasnice and neat, and the location near Fort Station and Colombo bus stand was convenient for getting around. The staff at Downtown Monkey Backpackers were friendly and accommodating, allowing me to use the washroom and shower even after I had checked out and kept my luggage there for an extended period. They even provided breakfast, a drink upon arrival, and bottled water when I left at a very low cost. The hostel also had excellent WiFi.

We had a great experience at Downtown Monkey Backpackers. the location is perfect, just a stone's throw away from the train station, making it convenient for travelers heading in different directions. the staff at the front desk were always available, even late at night. the lady who runs the hostel was incredibly kind and went out of her way to make us feel at home. She was especially attentive to my friend, who was on crutches due to a foot injury. the atmosphere during breakfast was cheery, with everyone engaging in friendly conversations.
